ELIGIBILITY  CRITERIA

A)   NATIONALITY/CITIZENSHIP

A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.  A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/interview conducted  but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.


B)   EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 01.10.2010)

                 FOR GENERAL/ OBC CANDIDATES
Degree in any discipline or its equivalent with any class/division
OR
10+2 examination or its equivalent with minimum 50%

RELAXATION FOR SC/ST/XS/PWD CANDIDATES: - Pass in 10+2.

NOTE:-    (a)   All educational qualifications should be from a Recognized University / Board.
                  (b) Candidates who state that they have graduated must have obtained the said educational  qualification as on 01.10.2010.
  (c)  Candidates should know to read, write and speak the language of the State for which they are applying.


SELECTION PROCEDURE

The selection will be on the basis of written test and interview. All eligible candidates will be called for a written examination, which will be both Objective and Descriptive in nature.

1.                                                                                                                              b)                DESCRIPTIVE TEST

 It will consist of 4 questions out of which the candidates are required to attempt 3 questions only.  The test will be of 60 marks (i.e. 20 marks for each question).  Time duration for the test will be 45 minutes.

Note:
i.                          A candidate who applies for vacancies in a particular State will have to appear for the written examination at the centre for that State only.  Applications not conforming to this requirement will be rejected. 
ii.                         Request for Change of Centre of Examination shall NOT be entertained.
iii.                       Bank reserves the right to cancel any of the centres and/or add some other centres, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc.  The bank also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any of the centres other than the one he/she has opted for.
