Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for appointment as officers in Scale- 1.
A. Eligibility

Candidates who have acquired any of the above qualification/s from a recognized Indian University only will be considered.
B. Upper Age Limit: - 25 years as on 30.09.2010 Candidates born on or after 30.09.1985 are only eligible.
Relaxation for SC/ST candidates: 5 years
C. Selection Procedure
Selection will be based on a written test/skill test and a personal interview. Candidates who qualify in the written test/skill test will only be called for the interview. Candidates are to appear for the written test/skill test and to attend the interview at their own expense at places/on the dates notified by the Bank.
D. Examination Centres
The centres for examination are New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur and Kozhikode.
E. Examination Fee:
General Category – Rs.500/-
SC/ST – Rs.250/-
Candidates should download the challan from the site and remit the fees at any of Catholic Syrian Banks branches. The batch number of remittance, branch code and date of remittance should be filled while submitting the application online. Counterfoil for the challan can be obtained from that branch for the record.
Fees once paid will not be refunded on any account.
F. Emoluments
Selected candidates will be placed on probation for a period of one year. Bank reserves the right to extend the period of probation for any further period/s or to terminate the service even during the period of probation without any notice and without assigning any reason whatsoever. During the period of probation, they will be eligible for emoluments depending on the place of posting, applicable to officers of the Bank in junior management grade (Scale-I). They will be placed on pay scale applicable to the grade viz., Scale-I: 14500 – 600/7 – 18700 – 700/2 – 20100 – 800/7 – 25700. At the present rate of DA, starting total emoluments would be around Rs.21000/- pm for Scale-I. Perquisites as HRA/reimbursement of rent, allowance for fuel, etc shall be according to place of posting and shall be paid extra.
On successful completion of probation period they will be appointed in Junior Management Grade (Scale-I) of the Bank. According to market perception, package of a JMG Scale-l officer works out to Rs 4.50 lakhs per annum on CTC basis in Mumbai.
