Govt. given green signal for Common Interviews for IBPS PO 2012


There is another good news for those people who have cleared IBPS PO 2 Exam
The Government of India clears the proposal for Common Job Interviews for candidates aspiring jobs in nationalised banks, discarding the old practice of multiple appearances. This new system will be applicable from immediate effect. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will hold the common interview on the behalf of 19 government banks. State Bank of India and its associates will not be part of this as usual.
According to DK Mittal (the banking circle, financial secretary ) took special interest in clearing the proposal fast which is going to change the way banks' hiring process. 

"It will be a win-win situation for banks and the aspiring candidates" said IBPS director Anup Sankar Bhattacharya. "The hiring process will be smooth for banks. On the other hand, candidates will save energy and cost as they don't have appear for multiple interviews."
IBPS also conducts common written test for these 20 banks. Out of 7,51,032 candidates appeared for bank PO exam on June 17, 2012, just about 8% or 61,339 candidates have qualified for Interviews. IBPS will select candidates according to the total requirement and they will be placed according to their preferences. It will hold interviews in multiple locations to help regional candidates.
