The All-India Bank Employees Association today
said it deferred the proposed national strike call on July 25-26 after a meeting
with the management body IBA and the labour commissioner. The Two days long
Public sector bank employee unions strike temporary deferred as per report.
Earlier United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) have decided to call a two-day
nation-wide strike on July 25-26 to protest reforms in the banking sector and
outsourcing of jobs. UFBU is the umbrella organization of five employee unions
and four officer unions of state-run and private banks in the country.
Today as per circular submitted by SBI on BSE
he said With reference to the announcement dated July 16, 2012 regarding the
notice served by United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) for two days' country wide
strike on 25th and 26th July, 2012, State Bank of India(SBI) has now informed
BSE that the above strike has been postponed by UFBU. Consequently, normal
